ISSUE #13 - JULY 2009
poetry

him

(sxc.hu)

Him

Gasping for air, I clutch to his chest
Crying, for the pain flows through my arms slowly
A river unbeknownst to me
It thrashes against the rocks embedded in them
Towards and back like the water in a bathtub

I close my eyes, my lotus-petal eyes
Only to be kissed by those lips
They're so dry...sucking the sweat off my skin
I sigh and doze off, I hearing the soft-spoken voice

Words I don't hear but the sound is soothing
Into his world I slide
Further and further to the place where his heart rests
I touch it, waiting for the radiance to become less bright

No! It pulls me into an embrace
No more pain for me, I am finally inside him
